Live Edge Dining Table

A live edge dining table is a dining table whose tabletop is made from the naturally shaped edge of a tree trunk.

The edges of the table (usually only the long sides) retain their natural shape, which was created by the tree's longitudinal growth. This creates a unique, rustic, and organic look; a live edge dining table is definitely one-of-a-kind.

Live edge tables can be made from various types of wood, such as oak, acacia, beech, mango, and others.
When producing live edge dining tables, the bark and outer bark are usually removed, and the resulting cut surface is then sanded and, if necessary, polished, oiled, or varnished. They are particularly suitable for use in rooms with a rustic or country interior, but also as a deliberate contrast to a technically cool industrial style. In any case, a live edge dining table is an interesting and attractive eye-catcher for any dining area.

By using solid wood, live edge dining tables are stable, robust, and durable. From an aesthetic point of view, a thicker slab is usually more attractive, but even a 26 mm thick dining table slab is virtually indestructible. The thickness of the tabletop can be chosen in a range of approximately 25 – 50 mm.
